OProfileUI: Making profiling pretty
OProfileUI is a graphical user-interface to the OProfile stochastic system profiler. The aim of this project is to provide a user-interface that gives strong visual indications of the bottlenecks in an individual program or across an integrated system. OProfileUI also removes some of the complexity of getting started with OProfile and I hope that this brief introduction will lower the barrier of entry to new participants interested in performance related work.
This talk will (hopefully) include a short live demo of profiling either under the desktop or from an embedded device.
About GUADEC
GUADEC is a unique forum that highlighs the capabilities and direction of GNOME - the user environment for desktop computers, networked servers and portable Internet devices. GUADEC also features meaningful discussions of the future direction of Free Software and Open Source development in general.
This is the eighth year in which the developers and users of GNOME will gather in person to discuss the future direction of the project, and to spread word of GNOME and the benefits of Free Software
