Supporting Multiple OSes Using GTK+

Currently GTK+ has a usable working build for Linux and Windows. Mac OSX is under development, but no expected availability. What are the current limitations of GTK+ for support of major OSes? How can GTK+ become a major enabler for well-designed high-performance multi-platform applications? What missing features in GTK+ are needed in order to be a robust multi-platform toolkit?
